Description
Kisspeptin-10 (Kisspeptin-10, KISS-1 peptide) is a bioactive peptide fragment derived from the kisspeptin family of signaling peptides. It plays an important role in the regulation of the reproductive hormone axis by interacting with KISS1R (GPR54) receptors in the hypothalamus.
Research has shown that kisspeptin signaling is involved in stimulating gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion, which subsequently influences the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Because of this role, Kisspeptin-10 is widely studied in reproductive endocrinology, puberty, fertility, and hormone-regulation research.
